Uluwatu Temple: This must be among the few temples that have an amazing location perched as it is on a cliff side. A temple of lovely architecture, it is even more pretty as you get a view of the surroundings. The waves crashing at a drop of 200 feet make the experience mesmerizing. However beware of the monkeys that frequent this temple. It is situated 15 miles south of Kuta and can be reached via cars or taxis. A kecak dance performance can be seen every evening after 6 pm.

Tarah Lot Temple

Tanah Lot Temple: Talk about spectacular locations and this temple is right up there on the list. Perched on the edge of a giant rock that seems to be appearing out of the ocean, this architectural marvel looks spectacular at sunset. At low tide, you can walk in the shallow water right up to the temple. But non-Balinese are not permitted to enter the temple. It is still worth the effort taking in the sheer beauty and architectural marvel of this temple.

Besakih Temple: This temple is over 1000 years old and among the holiest in Bali. It is called the Mother Temple of Bali. Besakih Temple Complex is located on Mount Agug at a height of 1000 metres. There are a total of 86 temples within this amazing complex. The view surrounding the temple is extremely lovely fringed as it is my hills, streams and paddy fields.
