The surviving ruins are of an elegant Church that dates back to 15th century. There are some quaint sculptures to be seen here on the exterior of the ruin.   1. I would say that the castle is the last thing you should visit in Edinburgh.
    Calton Hill, Arthur Seat, Cramond Island, Museum of Scotland, Museum of Childhood…all for free.
